What shapes the dish?
Type One Dish Meals
Cereals and cereal products and potatoes :
• ½ cup white rice
• ½ cup noodles / vermicelli / cake tiau / pasta
• 1 slice of wholemeal bread
• ½ chapatis (small size)
• 1 cup rice porridge
• ½ cup of breakfast cereal
• 1 medium size potato seed
• 3 pieces of biscuits / cream
Vegetables :
• ½ cup of dark green leafy vegetables
• ½ cup fruit or tuber vegetables
• ½ cup of other vegetables
Fruits • ½ medium size guava seeds
• 1 slice of papaya / watermelon / pineapple
• 1 medium banana / orange / pear / apple
• ½ cup fruit juice (unsweetened)
Milk and Dairy Products :
• 1 cup milk
• ½ cup buttermilk
• 1 slice of cheese
• * Low-fat dairy is encouraged
Eggs, meat, poultry, fish and nuts :
• 1 medium size chicken drumstick
• 1 whole mackerel
• 2 pieces of lean meat of matchbox
• 5 tablespoons anchovy headless
• ½ cup dried beans
• 4 tablespoons shrimp with skin
• 1 slice of tofu
• 1 piece of tempeh
• 1 egg medium size (grade C)
